Operated by Grupo Barraqueiro under contract to Albufeira Council

Daily – bus runs every day including Sundays and Holidays

MFO - bus runs Mondays to Fridays (weekdays) only except holidays
SAT- runs on SATURDAYS only SSH - bus runs Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
SHX - bus does NOT run on Sundays and Holidays

WINTER TIMETABLE UNTIL JUNE 2024. In summer, the Sunday / Holiday service is more frequent.
There are some minor differences between the printed timetable and the on line version. Some times are different by one or two minutes.
I have used the earlier times here. Apologies if you have to wait a minute or two longer than you wish!

NOTES
Quinta da Balaia (Rotunda #) - This is the stop at the roundabout with the shelter. Also stops outside the Brejos school when coming from Vale Navio.
Branqueira (%) - buses can only stop in this direction, so coming from town you must get off at a stop called Camino Semina, about 300 metres short of the village centre.
($) - this stop is near the big ALDI supermarkket, a few metres up the road from the roundabout outside the shops. Map here.
Cãmara Municipal (+) - this is the nearest stop to the old town centre and beach area, about 5 minutes walk down the hill or wait for Giro route10. Map here.
Giro Route 6 is the quickest way back to the bus station from Montechoro. Route 6 also goes from Montechoro to Albufeira Terrace Shopping a different way.
GIRO routes 2 and 4 also run along the main Avenida dos Decobrimentos between Arcadas São João (the strip) and the Câmara Municipal. Use the links below for times etc.
