TIMETABLE NOTES

CAR - to or from Carrapateira via the N268 road

§ For more buses between Lagos and Bensafrim, click here.
** buses pass through Aljezur on their way to/from the Igreja Nova but I am not sure if they still stop there twice
# Outbound buses (except those shaded purple) also stop along the Esplanade, on the side nearest the river, at Infante and the other stops.
Inbound buses continue along the Esplanade to Infante; these stops are nearer the town centre
Lagos Bus Terminal is about 5 minutes walk from the Railway Station over a bridge across the river and past the Marina.
This is a lifting bridge for boats and could rise up in front of you, so beware if time is tight!
There are buses every 30/60 minutes from the station into town on weekdays. Weekend service is both irregular and infrequent.

 CONNECTIONS AT ODECEIXE

There are  buses at 1030 MFO and 1750 MFO (but 1800 on Schooldays) from Odeceixe to Santiago de Cacem via São Téotonio and Odemira operated by Rodovario do Alentejo
In the reverse direction buses leave Santiago do Cacem MFO at 0715 arriving in Odeceixe at 0955; also at 1340 MFO arriving at 1545
The 1750 / 1800 bus from Odeceixe runs via Sines, as does the 0715 bus from Santiago do Cacem.
On schooldays only (SCH) a bus runs from São Téotonio to Odeceixe at 1700, allowing a connection with the 1800 bus from there to Lagos.
No buses run at weekends or on public holidays.
See these pages for those times in detail :
Linha 8923 - ODECEIXE - ODEMIRA - CERCAL - SANTIAGO CACÉM
Linha 8942 - ODECEIXE - SANTIAGO DO CACÉM

RX - this is a long-distance coach (bus) to or from Lisbon via Setubal. Check the rede expressos
          logo website for more information.
The 1520 from Lagos starts in Portimão at 1500; the 1240 arrival in Lagos continues to Portimão arriving at 1300.
Journeys on Rede-Expressos are much more expensive than by local buses. Tickets MUST be obtained before boarding either at the website or at the bus station.
