before entering the town proper.

There is one bus a day MFO From Ameixal at 0655 then at 0727 from Barranco Velho to Loulé with a return journey at 1810.
There are connections with bus 61 at Barranco Velho.

(x) this stop is on the main road about 500 metres from the village centre.
Note 1 - there is a very limited service (currently one bus each week!) between São Bras de Alportel and Tavira - see below for details
Note 2 - there are buses from São Romão village to Faro at 0730 and 1445 on weekdays; return journeys from Faro at 1400 and 1900. These buses via run via Bordeira and Estoi.

The 0715 bus from Santa Catarina, the 1345 and 1750 buses from Tavira run via Tavira railway station. The others do not.
(As a curiosity, what possible use is a bus service that runs once a week offering exactly no time at the destination?)
