Estoi has extra buses on schooldays for students at nearby villages. Details on official website.
There is also a weekday daytime bus about once an hour between Faro and Conceição on the local Proximo network. Times here.

Z - Continues beyond Estoi to Azinheiro and Espargueira. Stops at the Dr Emiliano Costa school and not the stop in the village centre

B - Estoi crossroads is the nearest stop to the Milreu Roman Villa site.  The entrance is about 200 metres along the road towards the village.
The site is closed on Mondays and major public holidays.

TIMETABLE NOTES
São Bras de Alportel has a small bus terminal about 800 metres to the north of the town centre near the 'Rotunda do Centenário'.
Buses to and from Faro continue to stop closer to the town centre. For other buses at São Bras de Alportel, click here .
S - from São Romao 0730 via Bordeira at 0740   T - there are two buses from São Bras at 0800 on schooldays. One does not go via Estoi and reaches Faro 5 minutes earlier.
At Estoi the buses from and to Azinheiro stop at the Dr Emiliano Costa school and not the stop in the village centre

The Palace of Estoi is in the village. It is now a 'pousada' hotel. The gardens are open to the public on weekdays only.
