The Rede Expressos ticket office at Pportimão long distance bus station is open only these hours :0800 - 1100 and 1300 - 1815 daily.
Their ticket office in the town centre at Largo do Dique is open 0900 - 1300; 1400 - 1900 weekdays; 0900 - 1400 Saturdays. Closed Sundays and holidays
The ticket office at Lagos bus station is only open as follows::
Weekdays 0800 - 1300 and 1430 to 1800 Saturdays, Sundays and Hoilidays 0800 - 1300 and 1330 - 1530

If you are travelling outside those hours you must buy a ticket in advance or use the website or app. Drivers do not sell tickets.

In Lisbon most journeys use the Sete Rios bus station.
Some journeys serve Lisbon Oriente and a few also stop at the airport.
Oriente is much nearer the airport than Sete Rios and with a direct metro connection.

Times are subject to alteration around major holidays - Christmas, New Year and Easter. Extra journeys may operate in summer.

Flixbus operates about twelve journeys a day between Portimão and Lisbon Oriente in winter. More journeys may run in summer.
Average journey time 3 hrs 20 minutes.

Summary of current times - Ffrom Lisbon Oriente at 0245, 0420*, 0915 then about once every hour until 1645, last journey 1815.
* not recommended. This is a 7 hour journey via Évora, Beja and Faro.

From Portimão at 0800 then at irregular intervals until 1700, 1800, 1900, 2000 and a last journey at 2200, which arrives in Lisbon at 0220 next morning.
