TIMETABLE NOTES

The 1735 bus from Lagos goes to Barão São Miguel after Budens
On the 1830 bus from Lagos, change at Burgau (X) for Burgau.

Lagos Bus Terminal is about 5 minutes walk from the Railway Station over a bridge across the river and past the Marina.
This is a lifting bridge for boats and could rise up in front of you, so beware if time is tight!
There are buses every 30/60 minutes from the station into town on weekdays. Weekend service is both irregular and infrequent.

(X) – read this note
NOTE - BURGAU AND BURGAU (x) ETC ARE NOT THE SAME PLACE! The (X) indicates it is a bus stop on the main road where the road to the village turns off.
If you are travelling to eg BURGAU ask for BURGAU, not BURGAU (X). Also the stop Burgau (X) is about 200 metres from the actual crossroads.
Approximate distances – Burgau (X) to Burgau about 2 kilometres, Barão S. Miguel (X) to Barão S. Miguel about 3 kilometres;

Lagos <> Praia da Luz <> Burgau summary of 'A ONDA' city bus service route 4

Buses run every day, ABOUT EVERY 45 MINUTES ON WEEKDAYS between Lagos and Luz, less often to Burgau.
At weekends the service is limited to a bus about every 2 hours at Luz, four a day at Burgau, but buses do run until late into the evening in July and August.

This is ONDA ROUTE 4. The official website of the ONDA network is here; the complete timetable (printable) for Route 4 is here.
The timetable notes about days of operation are in Portuguese only, so you may wish to read my own additional information here.
These buses also go to Espiche and Almadena. They stop near Luz at the Valverde campsite and also the Boavista golf resort.
ONDA timetables refer to PRAIA DA LUZ as 'Igreja Sra da Luz'

 PLEASE CHECK THE OFFICIAL TIMETABLE. In summer the buses on the ONDA route run until about 2300hrs.
Please also note that you cannot use ONDA tickets on EVA buses or vice-versa.
